A Supportive Community

Founded in 1991, Namaste Yoga Center provides a space for beginners to long-time practitioners to come together in a supportive community. Namaste offers individual and group teachings in hatha Yoga, meditation, the timeless teachings of Yoga, including Yoga Nidra. In addition, we offer satsang, retreats, trainings and workshops.

Yoga at Namaste

Hatha Yoga is an ancient practice originating in the area we now call India as much as 6,000 years ago. Hatha Yoga uses deep relaxation, diaphragmatic breathing, gentle stretching and strengthening exercises, and meditation to support an individual's physical, emotional, and spiritual health. Yoga at Namaste is taught from the perspective of nondual wisdom.

The Practices of Yoga

Namaste Yoga Center's teachers introduce the practices of yoga by developing physical and emotional awareness through relaxation and a focus on breathing, using the postures to enhance and deepen understanding. Students learn Yoga from a personal awareness of their unique body/mind without competition or expectations and with a deep respect of the body/mind and spirit. We offer classes that allow students to explore the physical and emotional aspects of practice and, if they choose, to experience the deeper practices of meditation and community to abide in equanimity and peace.
