Asteya, non-stealing, is the yama (principle), that Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra gives us as a reminder of an action that will not disturb the mind. We offer these podcasts for your continuing practice, asking a fee that will help us sustain our practice. Please recommend that friends and family come to our site and pay their own fees for our service. Thank you.

Podcast FAQs

What is a Podcast?

Podcasts are audio programs – similar to those on a CD or on the radio. Podcasts can contain music, speeches or meditations – anything that could be put on a CD can be put on a podcast.

Podcasts are downloaded and saved to a computer or mobile MP3 player, such as an iPod, before playing. To play a podcast, open your MP3 software and find the podcast you downloaded.

You can listen to a podcast with your computer and free software.

Podcasts are in “MP3 format” and require MP3 software to listen to them. Your computer will be able to play podcasts with the help of free software. You may already have the needed software on your computer to play podcasts - look for iTunes, Quicktime or Windows Media Player.

If you don’t already have a player, links to download popular MP3 software are here:

Getting podcasts

There are many sources on the Internet to get podcasts, such as iTunes and NPR.

When you click on a link to buy or download an MP3 file (podcast), it is downloaded to the folder where iTunes keeps your music. If you are using Quicktime or Windows Media Player, you should remember the location where you downloaded the podcast files. iTunes will save and keep track of your downloaded podcasts for you.
